Your ASA membership dues are available to pay online.
For your convenience, annual dues may be paid by:

to begin the online renewal process and log in with your user name and password. If you’ve forgotten your user name and password, enter your email address at this link
and they will be sent to you via email.
• Going to www.asahq.org
, logging in using your user name and password, and then clicking on the ‘Renew Membership’ link at the top of the page.
• Calling the Member Services Department at (847) 825-5586 to renew by phone using VISA, American Express or MasterCard.

with your user name and password, select “Renew Membership” and you will be directed to a “Dues Information and Payment Page.”

Want to obtain a receipt for your paid dues? Log in
with your user name and password, select “Renew Membership.”
Once at the "Welcome Page", click on the “Print Receipt” button to generate receipt in PDF format or call the Member Services Department at (847) 825-5586 and a representative will assist you.
‹ Inquire About Group Billing
ASA membership is an individual membership that is not transferrable. Although members are required to apply and join as individuals, the ASA can prepare a group dues statement to allow the convenient annual single payment of ASA dues for a group practice.
To take advantage of this time saving convenience, simply send an email requesting a group bill to firstname.lastname@example.org
. Your email should contain the following information:
• Practice name
• Primary administrative contact name (i.e., the person responsible for maintaining the list of group members and facilitating payments)
• Telephone number of primary administrative contact
• Fax number
• Mailing address (where you want the invoice/statements to be sent)
• Email address of primary administrative contact
• Practice website address (if applicable)
• Word file or excel spreadsheet of the individuals who are to be included in the group billing statement. The list of individuals should include the following (as individual fields if using an excel spreadsheet)
ASA member number (if known)
Suffixes (M.D., D.O, III, Jr. etc)
Date of birth
Please note that this billing convenience does not serve as a substitute for those who are newly applying for ASA membership. A membership application must be completed by those who are not current ASA members or who have not been members for more than one year. If you are unsure about the membership status of an individual in your group, call the Member Services Department at (847) 825-5586 and a representative will assist you.
Also, remember that the ASA group bill does not include membership for your component society. Many components also offer group billing. Information on group billing by your component society should be directed to the component. Component society membership is required for membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Once you have logged into the ASA website, you can change your password by clicking on the MyASA logo and proceeding to the MyASA member portal. You can find the link in the MyMember Profile section.
‹ Contact Your Component Society
Due to critical state legislative issues, grassroots involvement and related practice concerns, ASA membership is contingent on membership in a component society (ASA Bylaws, Section 3.00; members located outside the US are exempt from this requirement).
Components are separate nonprofit organizations, chartered by ASA. The application that you complete for ASA also is used for component membership. You will receive a dues statement both from ASA and your component society. You should join the component where you conduct your principle practice.
Components are located in each of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Other component societies such as the resident, medical student and uniformed services provide opportunities for unique segments of membership to deepen their relationship with ASA.
